Uni pass lists!

Hi guys
Who has gone through this experience of waiting for uni pass lists, and how did you feel before and after checking it out? We had 2 lectures in the morning (where results were mentioned by both teachers). We the had to wait an hour for the pass lists to come up (with names written for who passed each subjects). Nerves hadn't previously been helped by professors reviewing the papers before we even got our results (hence me thinking I'd messed up quite a bit).
Then came 12 O'clock. The list was put up, and there was a rush to check them out. I was too afraid, so after a bit I went with my friend, who checked the lists for me. The 2nd year pass list was next to our first year ones, therefore causing many (me inc) to think we had fauiled). When that was sorted, I realised that I had somehow passed the 4 exams, as had a few of my friends, or some had failed only 1 exam (mostly being one which u can retake 2/3 more times, and is not too important). Left me wondering what all that worrying had been about. Still can't believe I passed all as I was sure I had failed at least 1 exam.
Just thought I would share my experience.

The worst has to be third year finals on the board. With people with the best firsts at the top and the thirds at the bottom. Scanning down the page from the top not seeing your name has got to be the worst!

Ours was only in alphabetical order, so it wasn't as bad.

How I love the fact that our uni are into t'internet as much as they are!

We got emails to inform us that exam results were out, and then checked our own web ct page for individual results. Still nerve-wracking but not quite as intense. And colour me surprised that I got a quite respectable mark on the exam that I was convinced that I failed on!

I've not got my results yet as the examiners are on strike. Bloody labour.

Oh man, hard luck. Hopefully you'll do fine when they do mark the papers.I though tthat I had messed up on my chemistry paper, as I had messed up a graph and a few calculations, but I guess I passed so it's all ok.

I've requested my name be removed from the pass list, so I will get my results in a discreet brown envelope instead of on the wall for all to see. I don't know why more people don't do this.

I didn't do it cos then you get your results a week later. Some people did that today, and so when everyone was relieved that they knew their results, the people who had requested discretion still don't know how they did. Personally, I didn't really check which people passed etc from the list. I just got told by friends etc.

Some people in my year thought that they might list the candidate numbers for those who passed, but no, they had to list names.

I'd scan upwards, that way unless you're the last name its better news!

We've just submitted some coursework which has been being marked for the last few weeks. The results are due out on Weds, but they only tell the people who fail - they have to go to a special meeting on Friday; the rest of us don't find out officially till next term, I don't think
