It does sound like a nail fungus and the best option imo would be to get medication from the doctor. I think you can get creams or tablets.

You can get tablets, but when I went about this they didn't seem like the best option. From what I remember, they had a low chance of working and had a few side effects, so I didn't bother. You can actually get a paint on treatment over the counter called phytex paint. I bought it but have been too lazy to use it often enough for it to have an effect.

Whatever you use to try and get rid of this, it's unlikely to have an immediate effect or even, an effect any time soon. On the bright side, at least it's not life-threatening.

Could be down to a lack of calcium yes. has anything happened to your fingernails? Dont worry about them being yellowish tho, i bruised my big toenail when i was skiing and its actually still black from about 2 months ago. Its really sick, and i think itl stay that color until i brave enough to get the blood out...ok i feel sick thinking about it and so il shut up...

I have a nail fungus at the moment. I went to the Drs and he said the paint took 8 months but the tablets three. I would advise making an appointment. Plus I've tried the paint on procedure before and it was tedious and did jack!
