Where, I ask as I place my hand on my furrowed brow, is a thread on classical music!? I thought I should be the one to solve the pressing problem and, so, have created a very simple poll. Which do you prefer out of the four 'most recent' classical time periods/styles. I know this is and always has been a huge generalisation; but hopefully people can get a feel for the difference between something typically classical and say romantic. Personally I am a huge fan of the later Romantics - bring on the Rach!

Romantic is a classification of music, for example comparing classical and romantic:

Classicism is conservatism in creativity with emphasis on balance, control, proportion, symmetry and restraint. Romanticism is a more radical kind of expression, it seeks out the new, the curious, and the adventurous.

It's 'classical' music, not pop/rock here. I can understand why you don't know what we're talking about.

Lol, I just wanted to create a thread about something that isn't rock or pop (though I like rock myself). Classical music isn't really something younger people are 'into'. Just wondered if there were any other teenagers out there who prefer some classical sometimes - like me!

I couldn't choose, I love most sorts of classical music! Saying that, I've never been keen on really atonal music, so that rules out 'modern, at least for the poll.

So difficult to choose. Voted baroque simply because I'm listening to JS Bach at present.
