Sorry if this has been asked before, but how is this for IB.

How does it compare to other unis, such as Notts, Bath, York, Durham and Manchester.

I would say Bristol is on a par with York and Nottingham and better than Bath and Durham

All of the 24 were for IB internships.

    23 were front office internships
    1 was operations at db.

And if you want the full breakdown:

    BOA 1
    BNP 1
    Citigroup 2
    DB 4
    Greenhill 1
    HSBC 2
    JPM 1
    Macquarie 2
    MS 3
    Rothschild 1
    SEO 4
    UBS 2
Interesting that all the Bristol interns at MS this year are going to be in the same division.

I don't think they are. 1 in equities. 1 in fixed income an 1 in ibd.
Maybe there are more than three in total then because I know for a fact that there are three of them interning in the same division.

im hopefully starting l100 at bristol this year. Just wondering is it better to keep straight eco or change to eco and econometrics. Apparently they basically the same. But in terms of employability does it really matter.

Better than all of them. Notts in with a shout for a level pegging.

It's a good enough uni that if -you're- good enough, you will get the job. There are no universities where the fact you are an alumni gets you an instant IB role.

As for the list of unis, just look at the appslaces for confirmation it's a good choice. Unless you get oxbridge or London (and like London), i'd -personally- put as much weight on whether you like the 'university as a university' as whether the IB's like it. I'd extend that to Warwick too - as the above list shows, Bris is perfectly capable of getting students into IB...so why go to a hole of a campus uni (unless you like that kinda thing...)? Just my view - i'm not in IB and am, again, a bit biased.
