Eye... can see my vein!

I'm actually more worried than the title may suggest, but here goes...

I just got a weird feeling in my eye, so I went to look in the mirror and I saw a dark line in it which looked like a shadow but when I moved it looks like a really big vein which I didn't know was there before! It feels like the vein is pinching or something and when I blink it feels like it is sticking out of my eyeball. :eek:

It doesn't hurt but it feels weird and now I'm just really worried because you know, eyes are important.

Could be that I'm tired. Could be that I could always have seen the vein but didn't look so I wouldn't know.

Now I'm babbling so I'll stop. You know what I mean. Does anyone know what this could be or has anyone had a similar experience? thanks

do you spend a lot of time on computers?

I had something similar but it went away after I got some sleep and stayed off the computer for a few days.

might be a burst blood vessel

Umm.. not sure tbh, I think it would be fine but go to the optitians in the morning if its a bit abnormal

Thank you! Well I've probably been on the computer for about 3 hours today so yeah it could be that. I've got my eye closed now, I'm going to bed now and hope it goes away.

And anon because... dunno, I guess I thought it was a bit silly. :smile:
