    Inv.. as in inverse?

Is there a 2ndF (Second Function) button? Try hitting that, and then the appropriate trigo function.

    Yeah, as in inverse.

It has 'In' but I don't think that is it. Its also got 'shift', but it only has sin-1, cos-1, etc on the top of the respective buttons :|

So what's the problem? Hit shift, and then the respective trigo button.

Do [shift] [sin] 0.5. It'll work.

The button that looks like "In" actually represents the \ln(x) (natural logarithm) function. Wikipedia it.
