I have this question:
A reaction occurred in the following steps:
A + B -> C (Slow)
C -> E + F (Fast)
What is the overall chemical equation for the reaction?
I think I'm over-complicating this quite a lot but I really don't know what the question is asking for...
Any help appreciated!

A+B -> E+F as C is created and consumed by the reaction. It can't appear in the overall equation.
