    My coursework is on the language of chocolate, and how brands portray a certain image, but my teacher has said i have to include a theorist, i have no idea on 1? can any1 help? u dont know where to start in looking to find one, or what to write?:confused:

    There's probably an essay on chocolate packaging in Barthes' 'Mythologies', but I've not read it for ages. Certainly relevant anyway.

    look at any book relating to language and the media, or language and advertisments. your school or public library will have plenty as its a common topic, unlike what i did my coursework on!

    you don't need a concerete theory if there isn't one, just quotes from ideas or theories which back up your ideas. for example, if your analysis says that the language for certain chocolate is aimed at a specific sex or social group, has someone else also made reference to this? do they say why they believe it to be true?
