My favourite city in america, at least for short durations, has to be Las Vegas. It's the most wonderfuly extravagant place on earth ... if only I were old enough to gamble in nevada!

It's crazy that such a city exists, surrounded by desert, practically in the middle of nowhere! The hotels are soooo ostentatious - the shopping is amazing. In the basement of the Venetian they've recreated the canals of Venice -- you can have a gondola ride by the fashion boutiques. In the MGM Grand they have lion shows right withiin the Casino. The best though is the Bellagio -- especially if you have a room overlooking their fountain.

Some people are put off because they think it represents everything bad about america... and this is probably true, it's not called Sin City for nothing! For me, it's like an adult disney world There is so much to do and see ... i highly recommend it

I've never been but wouldn't mind going in the future. Boston is nicer than NY anyway

I went to NYC last November with my best mate. We flew out on her 18th Birthday which was also Thanksgiving!! We did so much in only a few days! We went up the Empire State the evening we arrived & it was beyond words!! Central Park was just plain wierd, you can stand in the grazing fields & be convinced you're in the coutryside then look around to be surrounded by huge skyscapers! Our Hotel was just off Times Square, so a very 'happin'' part of town! We had a helicopter flight (paid for by my mates parents as a b'day gift!) and circle line harbour lights cruise!! Yello cab ride was scary but again, like all things New York, it was an amazing experience! I prefer the underground but still love the subway, especially at night, we spent an hour watching break dancing in the Times Square station!

It's a fantastic city, coming form country-bumpkin-little-me that says a lot!
