Help! I want to quit Asda

I want to leave Asda by next month (around mid-May) and I want to know that how much notice should I give them. Also should I ask for a reference?
I've been working there for about 6 months now.

Ask your supervisor, but notice is usually 4 weeks. It will be in your contract if you have a copy handy.

Check your emplyee hand book. I work for Morrisons and mine is 1 week. If you know you are definitely leaving, give them as much advanced notice as possible, and keep a copy of any letter.
