you can, but i don't. I like to keep the invoice as a record.

A decent seller will send you a invoice asap!

Most of my buyers pay straight away, and so I don't always have time to send an invoice. As long as you're just buying the one item and postage was stated, you won't gain anything by waiting!

Pay straight away. The invoice can be sent after you pay.

I always pay straight away. Sometimes within a minute or two of the end of the auction.

I only invoice if I haven't received payment within a few days...kind of like a reminder. Doesn't the checkout function give you all the info you need?

if you wait for an invoice i find the seller will recognise you've won the auction, and be a true genuine seller, more likely to send you the item etc. Ebay is full of creeps, though the majority are fine, every so often you bump into the bad ones...
