My mother is so controlling.

Sorry if this is wrong place.

I'm nearly 20. My mother tell when to be in at night and what time. Who I should be friends with. She wants to know who i'm with all of the time. I can't bring boys home that I like because i'm scared she scary them away. Is this right that she acts this way still?

I understand my mother is a very strict women. If your nearly 20 you should try to find your own place if it's possiable (sp?).
It could be that she's over-protective. I think (I know I'm generalising) that mothers are more protective of their daughters, mainly due to stories about rape, abduction, which feature in the media.

My mum needs to know my exact movements and whereabouts, and she always phones me after college, to check where I am...

Have you tried talking to your mum?

Ok if I told her how I feel she would Say I didn't love her i.e emotional backmail.
