Anonymous posting

I'm not sure if this has been brought up. But I would like to make a polite request that people refrain from posting anonymously if it is not absolutely necessary.

Obviuosly in certain threads it makes sense. But surely when we are talking about 'health and relationships' we should, on the most part be able to speak openly, honestly and un-ashamedly. It is rather a large chunk of everyone's life after all!

I think that for a lot of people it's just become a habit and I find it counter-productive and wrong headed in some threads.

Agreed. People are even beginning to give advice anonymously  There's no need for it.

Why does it matter if people post anon or not, I can still follow threads even with large nos of anons? People b*tching about it is more annoying to me.
Yeah, stop picking on me!

Different issues are sensitive to different people. Why should some members be able to dictate when it's okay to use anon for everyone else?
well anonymous people asking for advice because they don't want other people whom they know roam this site to see what they're asking is okay. but giving advice anonymously is ridiculous.

It's fine; some people are too shy, or don't want to be seen discussing sensitive issues.
Lol this thread is so funny!
I know what this is about... It's cos you guys wanna dig up dirt about us and then gossip about it with all your other forum buddies! Just you wait, I'll tell Pig...

People often use personal examples when giving advice, that's probably why the anonymoys function is used.

This is Anon.
What u mean by that?
U serious?
what i find annoying is that people who're posting replies post anon and then sign their names. when it's not necessayr
If your friend is checking up on you, change your name, change your personal things. Post with your name.

I'm with the OP on this one. Personal stuff may be embarrasing, but a lot of the posts here have personal info they're sharing, and not everyone is anonymous. x x

Eh...
What people do is up to them as long as they aren't being offensive then it doesn't really matter (and if they are the mods will track em down!)
