I have been wearing foundation for years now (trying to ween off it but it is surprisingly hard!) and I've always opted for colours which matches my skin on my face. Thing is, my neck is slightly darker than my face...never really noticed this before until someone takes a photo of me then its really obvious that i am wearing pale foundation! It looks fine in the mirror though!

so should i really be going for darker colours to match my neck or should I just stick with the lighter colour for just my face?

hehe sorry for the stupid question! its just that my current foundation is about to run out and need to get a new one soonish. The foundation I've been using for a while is Photogenic in porcelaine by Lancome.

i thinkits natural for the body to be slightly darker than the face because if u wear make up on ur face in the day then the sun cannot get through as easily to tan you. id say go for the shade darker than uve been using. i used to use the colour which exactly went with my face colour but it did look ridiculous. or u cud use a tanning moisturiser.

couldn't it have just been shadow accentuated by the flash or something? i dunno... or is it definitely that your face and neck are different shades?

I was the same like you i used to use a foundation that was lighter than my neck colour but my chest and face were of the colour of my foundation. One day i grew very concerned about this so i decided to vist the Clinique make-up counter and the make-up specialist helped me find out what colour i needed to suit my skin tone. They are really helpfull they even help you on what type of skin you have and which foundation helps with your skin condition.

Just go to a megastoe boots or vist your local department store i am sure they will be a Clinique make-up counter there. Then hopefully you will find a shade of foundation that suites your skin tone
