Even if it gives you several million a year?
How about the opportunity to lift millions out of poverty?
Or say giving companies the chance to create something world changing?
What if the economic liquidity and stability banks provide has led to the development of humanity?
What if it is that economic security which can foster peace?

    How ****?!

    1. Money isn't everything.
    2. Don't need to work for a bank to do that.
    3. I don't care about that sort of company.
    4. Development of humanity? It seem to have got worse.
    5. Peace would reduce my chances of a future job.

    1. Money is something.
    2. But the point is, you can.
    3. You like the world to be backward where life is 'crude, brutal and short'?
    4. Says more about you than the rest of us.
    5. I swore there were significant peace keeping operations for oiks.

No. I genuinely look forward to working with some of the most intelligent people in my peer group working on some of the most complex and world changing activity out there by taking on significant responsibility.

Responsibilty? What responsibility do you get in bank? Money? That's not significant responsibility.

Taking a group of men into battle - that's significant responsibility. Becoming an army officer means you are one of the most intelligent people in the country.

Money is a fairly significant repsonibility. A few chavs aren't.

Money more important than lives? You need to sort your ideas.

Isn't material gain (and therefore, ultimately money) the central point of the war of conquest (ultimately the motivation behind almost all wars)? Perhaps it is you that needs a healthy dose of cynicism.

Yes because going to work knowing that you will be involved in the events that shape the political and economic decisions of a country is such a bore

They do it because they're told to and happen to be good at it? Clearly the finest demonstration of 'leadership' imginable. I thought these were some of the best the country has to offer...
