Can anyone tell me anything about Sandhurst Military Academy because the website is not working. I.e.

*the entry requirements for officer training
*the minimum service length after course completion
*do only people who are british citizens train there, or do other armies send their officers for training?

Any other bits of info would be helpful

    Thanks

Foreign armed forces frequently send selected personnel for training at Sandhurst.

I know this because earlier this year, a Singaporean cadet passed out from Sandhurst clinching the Best Overseas Cadet award (or something like that!).

Well It's called RMAS, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, you got nearly all the words but not in the right order.

You don't want to go there do you?

I don't know if I want to go there, I need to find out more information about it....especially in terms of whether service is mandatory afterwards

Of course service is mandatory, thats the whole point of going there, to be become an officer in the British army. Why do you want to do know that anyway?

They come from other countries yes, if our government is paying they serve in our Army (commonwealth, british and Irish), If they are foreigners like Saudi Arabians, then the Saudi Gov'n will pay, and they serve in the Saudi army.

Going to Sandhurst is not a jolly.

Minimum service length is 4 years. This includes the year at Sandhurst.

It's a ceremonial parade, as such comes under the instructions for ceremonial drill and not basic drill. Passing out parades are for sandbags.
