Can someone please do M2 3C q8 from edexcel.
A bullet of mass 10g travelling at 400m/s horizontally hits a vertical wall and penetrates the wall to a depth of 40mm. Assuming the resistive force exerted by the wall to be constant find the magnitude of the force.

Work done against force = loss of KE
=> Fx = 0.5mv^2
=> F(40x10^-3) = 0.5(10x10^-3)(400)^2
=> F = 800/0.04 = 20000N
