Can't stop weeing!!

This is weird, but lately I can't stop going to the toilet! I used to be the type of person that could go virtually the whole day without going to the toilet once but now I found myself needing to go every few hours - what can be the cause of this??? I don't want to be the type of person that has to find a toilet every few hours it's so annoying. I'm only 18 so surely I can't be getting a weak bladder already???!

Any ideas??

how much do you drink? what do you drink?

i get through about 5l of water a day, so for me its entirely not surprising that i go for a whiz every hour or so.

doubt it's a weak bladder. it could be loads of things:

it's cold,you pee more when it's cold
you've got cystisis (sp?), vaginal infection that can make you pee more
thrush, vaginal infection that makes you pee more
you've been drinking more water, which is good for you
you;ve been drinking more amounts of tea or coffee
or you just need to pee more so you can maintain your body's water and sugar level.which is ok.perfectly normal
can't think of anymore things.

Shylock :p: hehe

but then it's only when the baby's big enough to cause enough pressure on the bladder which would be about 5 months and about me thinks

That's the first thing I thought of too.

Get a test done. Just to rule it out.

Ditto, that's the first thing I thought of - although if you aren't obese or have a family history of it, it's unlikely. If you have an overwhelming sense of tiredness or dizzyness, that can also be associated with diabetes.

Stopping weeing is over rated!

Ive been weeing constantly for 2 years now, and i never look back to my "dry" days.

Wait till you go to your first family wedding after undertaking this great step in your life, is a great conversation starter.

That is true for type 2 (insulin non-dependent) diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is usualy diagnosed in young people, without any family history of it. It sometimes folows a viral infection but often no couse can be found.

To the orginal poster. Get your blood sugar tested just to be on a safe side.
