    both lawyers (both solicitor and barrister) and actuaries or accountants earn a lot. but which of them earn more (money-wise) and which of them earn more repsect?

    You are not going to get very far in life if you pick your career solely on the basis of how much it pays. Perhaps you should find out which career is more interesting and suited to you instead of weighing pay packets and respect.

    Generally lawyers earn more both in money and respect (especially when you are appointed a judge).

    It all really depends what area you end up in. I could well imagine a an accountant who rises to an executive position would earn much more than a legal aid solictor, even though lawyers on average earn more.

    Actuaries probably earn the most. But take defiantshrimp's advice seriously.
