Isn't Fine Art at ECA a five year course? That kind of puts me off a bit.

Hey, Yeah me too, I didn't apply for Fine Art at ECA because it's a 5 year MA in Fine Art and you basically study at edinburgh university, just using ECA for the practical work.
I've got an offer for the 4 year BAhons which is actually at ECA, you get a degree in whatever you decide to specialise in...e.g. you go and do 1st year which is similar to a foundation course and then specialise in yrs 2 3 & 4 so you end up with a BA in painting/sculpture/photography whatever.

I like both courses, it's just that I don't know what ECA's reputation is like/how it's recieved by employers/What it's like to be a student there etc.
I can't find any reviews of it other than what it says about itself, and it's obviously going to big itself up!?
hi,

i am doing foundation now, so didnt apply to eca as it is 4yrBA Hons. but i do know that it is really good art school, one of best in uk particularly for fine art. but leeds uni does not have a good repuation for fine art, i have never heard of it as a top place for anykind of art, so i defo wouldn't go there.

good luck with everything and hope it all goes well.
