What are peoples experiences of Camp America?

I went to Taize in France for a week. Other people I know have used music courses, language courses and environmental help products.

Yer I do, no jokes go to Skomer as I did for my Gold. It was absolutly wicked! have a look at some photos:

Also the DoE are holding their 50th aniversary concert with loads of bands and 25,000 people and it counts as your residential,

Ok, Navajo's links blow this right out of the water :p:

but... If you have £3000 to spare / plan on raising that amount fairly easily i'm doing a World Challenge Expedition to Guatemala and Belize this summer and that pretty much counts for the whole DoE Gold:
Residential - 5 days staying with/helping in a guatemalan village
Physical - 'Training' :p:

Skill - 'Money Management' :wink:

Expedition - The other 3 weeks of climbing and trekking on the trip

Ok, Service - I was a Brownie Young Leader for almost 2 yrs but... If you thought about it long enough I reckon you could make WC count for that too... :p:

My friend also spent a long weekend helping out at Sayers Croft, which counted as residential, and she had an awesome time...

That looks wicked if you have the money!

I would seriously recommend Skomer island. It's only 1milex1mile and there's about 10 of you on the whole island. You can only get to it by the little boat and you can swim with seals.

You help with the visitor boat every day, i.e. collect money etc... was a wicked time!
