Is uni as fun as it looks in films?
I know this is a stupid question lol, but im watchin road trip, and uni (college) there looks so fun, is it like this in real life. I know you got studying, but the social stuff in these films looks great, is this just for the film? Or what its like in America? or what?

Ditto on having watched road trip! I really doubt uni's like in films cause American high school is nothing like that unless most of the students are in their early to late 20s.
i always thought parties'd be like they are in those films when i was little! i was gutted when they werent.

university is pretty much exactly like 'animal house' with john belushi if anyone's seen that. you have my word.

mainly relationship stuff, bit of alcoholism, ocd
and yes the occasional sti
oh and the bitching. and hating people behind their backs, falling out with people, goes on and on
it is fun most of the time though, just don't be expecting it all to be plain sailing!

it's true, money is not everything but u can do nothing if u've got no money
Uni is more akin to school than to its cheesy Hollywood image. I guess I expected a bit more to the students [freshers mainly] than just getting drunk and gossiping....
But yeah, sometimes it will feel like an amazing experience, and sometimes you will feel overwhelmed by the mundanity of it all.

lol American college might be like the movies but UK uni isn't. I was disappointed.....believe me.
