PMS tips

Apologies if this has been posted before, a search on 'PMS' didn't work for some reason.

I've got the period pain nailed, but I still get a week of irrational ill-temper. I'm either angry with the people around me, or I feel like my life's going nowhere. I can't concentrate on doing anything productive, which can be quite damaging for a whole week.
I did start exercising (gym 3 times a week) recently and it helps a little, but not as much as I'd like.

Anyone got any tips?

Evening primrose oil is meant to be a godsend (or so i have heard)! Luckily, i don't suffer from any problems like pain/ PMS so i wouldn't know, but i dont think its nice!

Stay away from your girl friend as far as possible...

Only engage in conversations that can be answered with a yes ma'am or no ma'am

Avoid all eye contact - this can be seen as aggressive

If an argument is necessary make sure you engage her in her own place, so the stuff she breaks is hers.

Do not blame her mood on her period, this is patronising, even though both parties know it really is her period that is causing her mood.

Look at the floor when in her presence, looking up may make her think you are

a) looking at other women
b) looking at men
c) looking in general

Remember lads, women are dangerous, just keep your heads down and wait for them to be all pink and fluffy again.

I'm in the middle of that crap right now, n i feel so sorry for my boyfriend, he has to put up with me in all sorts of moods for no reason at all. we had three fights in a day yesterday, all petty things, all coz i was grumpy. if anyone has a magic solution, much appreciated by me n him!
The good old rag rage!!!

Deary me.

In all seriousness, evening primrose oil is a lifesaver (for him, you understand)

Never tried evening primrose, but I hear it's good. Personally, I find it helps to keep reminding yourself that its only PMS - once I keep track of which week I should expect to have PMS, its easier to calm myself down. Chocolate is meant to help as well, because of the endorphins.
the fact that i have a punchbag has probably saved lives:biggrin:
