Ok so im in year 13 and kinda worried if i would get offers.
My predicted grades are: AC in Product design and Chemistry
Along with that im doing BTEC Business which im predicted D*.

    These are my choices:

    Brunel- AAB
    Surrey- AAB
Kent- ABB or 320 UCAS points
    Essex- ABB-BBB
Hertfordshire- BBB or 300 UCAS points

are my choices realistic? Would they be likely to give a conditional offer?
I'm resitting my Chemistry to bring it up to a B/A as i underachieved also resitting my Maths GCSE linear(before did modular). To get it from a C to an A/A*

What're your grades equivalent to in UCAS points? Because I don't know what btecs are equivalent to and shiz.

well currently i have done halve of my BTEC (equivalent to 1 AS) and i got a Distinction which is 60 points. Now this year if i get all distinctions in my units and assignments then i can get an D*(equivalent to A*).

    D*- 140 points
    D- 120 points
    M- 80 points
    P- 40 points

Because im doing equivalent of 1 a-level i cant get 100 points(B) or 60 points(D). But I obviously want to get above a Distinction.

So I get lets say Di*AC or Di AB that would equal 320 UCAS points, so would that mean I could get into Kent and Hertfordshire?

Then yeah you could go for some decent ones, like Hertfordshire, Oxford Brookes, those types. What is it you're doing again?

Oh, but I have no idea about those you posted above. But if you look on what they accept (i.e. ucas v specific grades), and also email them, the uni themselves would tell you.

I emailed all of mine about having done three years, and they all replied within a few days.

Ps. Hertfordshire used to be the Uni of Luton. They've tried re-branding it but its still the pits. Avoid.

Sussex (BBB) would be a far better choice.

I thought the Uni of Luton is now Bedfordshire, not Hertfordshire...?

OOPS. I think you may be right there. Many apologies to Hertfordshire.

(But I still think Sussex would be a better choice)

Just looked it up - Hertfordshire is the former Hatfield Poly.

    (Agreed in general )

I went to Brunel open day and for me they said a D* in Business and AB in Chemistry and Product Design. (A and the B can be any of them)

Haha, I'm doing that as well.

Exactly, as long as you resit and show that you're this enthusiastic in your ps they won't mind, surely.
