I don't have a boot disk (yeah, I know that's daft) and I can't make another disk off the net because I don't have a floppy drive

I've tried reinstalling Windows and formatting the disk; neither of which have worked. I have tried pretty much every recovery option given by inserting the Windows disk which asks for an "Emergency Repair Disk"; which I also do not have

    Can anyone help?

Once the reinstall was complete, the same error persisted.

When you try to start the computer; before the "Loading Windows" screen appears.

Have you set the computer to boot from the hard drive?
You can do this through the bios.

The primary boot device is set to IDE0; is that what you mean?

Yeh it is, that's your hard drive. Have you got anymore hard drives setup?

Is it set to boot from a floppy at all? Im pretty sure you can disable floppy drives in the bios...atleast you can on my comp.

At this point, if i could not format it myself, i'd fork out £30 and hand it over to a repair shop.
