The piano thread got me thinking. Do all universities give music lessons? Does anyone know what the music scene is like at Durham and Birmingham?

music scene as in live gigs etc?
If you do then i know Birmingham has of course the NEC and the NIA where larger concerts are, i think blue and justin timberlake played there recently if you like that sort of thing.
There is also B'ham Academy 1 and 2 which play host to a wide range of music from indie, rock, metal, hip-hop, garage, including some well known acts. Also it has Broad Street which is just literally lined with bars and clubs that play almost all sorts to cater for all tastes.
hope that helps
