I have in from of me a wonderfully descriptive unit 3 specification sheet given to me by my teahcer. Unfortunately, I can't get my head around one of the points.

    (Original post by spec)
    f) to present and interpret qualitative and quantative results.
does anyone know what this refers to? it's been puzzling me for a while now and i've got till monday of next week to solve it.

on a side note, does anyone know where to get some nice diagrams for unit 3 volumetic analysis stuff; ditillation, hydrolysis, reflus and titrations?

    thanks.

basically u have to be able to interpret any results u get.. eg, if u do a flame test and get a lilac colour u should know what ur compound contains = qualitative interpretation
or, if you do a titration- you should be able to manipulat it- ie, do calculations to work out number of moles, concentrations volumes etc = quantitative.
