    Well this is the chapter I kinda missed at school due to illness, so Im just self teaching it all from the book and doing as many question as possible. There's just one thing - Showing that a point lies on a curve.

    I may just be tired from travelling all week, but what do you do here?

    Example:

    With the curve y=x^2 -6x, show that the point (3,-9) lies on it.

    What exactly do you have to look for here?

    -9=9-18

    Isn't it just subbing in the values to show that it lies on the curve?
