For "rebirth", there are four main meanings commonly used. The first is the Buddhist notion of metempsychosis, which is the soul beginning a new cycle of existence in another body. The second is the idea of reincarnation. This is when, if there was a dualistic soul, it lived independently of the original body in another body. This soul could also live on in the same body, this would be resurrection. Others use the term to mean a spiritual change of lifestyle choice, and a revival of a certain type of culture.
