I have the carmen girls steam curler. However, it really doesn't work. I take a small piece, curl it round, keep steaming it, wait 2 minutes and it hasn't even curled!
Am i doing it wrong? i wrap it round the bits that aren't sticking out.

Maybe it just doesnt get hot enough for your hair? i think curlers are a bit like straighteners, you have to be willing to spend a fair bit of money on them to get decent ones, or they really dont work very well! I have babyliss curlers however, which werent too expensive and they curl pretty well.

Try spraying each section of hair with hairspray, or put moose in, then curl. It will make a sizzling sound, but it will make the curl hold. Also, could try holding the curls for a bit longer, or leaving the curlers for a while before you use them to give them a chance to warm up properly
