Help!!! Cant find PhD scholarship :(

Hi guys I'm an international student, just got my MSc in Nutrition from the University of Leeds. I applied for PhD and got the offer, but I'm finding it almost impossible to find funding for my studies, and I need it sooo urgently.. Any help would be appreciated..

PS: I happened to look for sooo many scholarships online so I can offer some links and help where I can. Cheers!!

First of all, talk to your Dept. They will know of all the available funding in your subject area. This is complicated and you will need staff help/advice to understand it, how to apply, deadlines etc.

You should also look at funding available for nationals from your country (http://www.studyinbritain.com/info/scholarships.asp is a good place to start). Often the International Office at your UK Uni will have info on available schemes.

Its also worth keeping a eye on http://www.jobs.ac.uk/jobs/phd. It has a Phd Scholarships listing. You may find a funded place at *another* UK University here.

That last one you've posted is the AHRC, who only fund UK & EU students, whereas the OP said they were an international student I think? Plus I think for education you might need to look more at the ESRC, although I take your point that it could depend on the field within education
