Infatuation or an actual liking? ? ?

Ok, i know this may sound really STUPID but (me being a 16 year old with no experience whatsoever in the whole love-relationship area) I really need some advice.

How can you tell if you really like a guy (or anyone for that matter) or if you're just attracted to them? This thought has been in my head lately and now im just wondering if i'll ever be able to tell the difference. Yea, i know its a bit silly asking others, if im confusing my own feelings. Grr, its really been bugging me.

Take the situation im in right now: When i met one of my cousin's mates about six months ago, i found him quite attractive! But im not one of those people who has a crush on a person after meeting them just once or twice. So i know him relatively well now, but im not sure if the whole 'me liking him' just started coz one of my mates put the idea into my head. If that is the case, then is it just infatuation? Yikes, i hope this makes sense :redface:

it doesnt really matter if you like him or are just attracted to him, but its just one of the stages of finding a bloke you like.. it goes:

chatting to them, finding them interesting
then making you laugh
then finding them attractive
then wanting to hang out with them more
fancying them
and so on..

so if you think that hes a nice guy then who cares? just get to know him better and see where it leads you.. you'll soon know that if you wanna spend more time with him then its worth asking him out :smile:
