Hard luck to them then. Not that I'm bitter or anything. But honestly. Just another reason why I wish I'd done English, far better choice.

He shouldn't be - he could be the ONE good-looking economist!!

I certainly hope not. That'd mean my supo partner would know I live on here :p:
To be fair, postgrad economists particularly at Tit Hall and Magdalene make up for it. *prays they are her supervisors next year.* :p:

So the good-looking one is your supo partner? Does that mean he's at Trinity? I thought you didn't fancy Trinity economists...

Reply 83

It's not like people have to stay in their respective subject. No need to "keep it in the family".

Well, if you want your children to follow in your footsteps at Oxbridge you don't want to dilute their potential passion for economics by marrying someone too artsy!

I said good looking, I didn't say I fancied him! I did have a bit of crush on him at one stage tho. :p:

Funny you say that Steve, seeing as I'm very very artsy (doesn't my Fbook profile suggest that?)
No, seriously people, never ever ever go out with a proper economist, they crack stupid jokes all day about utility functions and regression.

Would you like tea or coffee?
- Yes.

Proof that mathmo jokes are still the best

Classic one:
Come on guys let's get pissed and investigate the law of diminshing marginal utility. Hahahahaha oooooooohhh, i dont think the law holds, the more i drink the happier i become so my utility is decreasing hahaha.

Or even better:
Economists do it with models! Gettit?? We do IT with Models hahahaha.

At least mathmos tend to be quiet and sweet...you sorta gotta forgive 'em. (Also keeping in mind that any kids you have with Trinity mathmos are likely to be genii  incentive enough.)

EDIT: you can tell I'm overworked, the last nit sounded a bit worng.

Reply 92

Hey, who hasn't pondered about potential characteristics of potential kids with respect to the subject your wife or husband has studied at university? :P

But good point, too bad for me we only have like 2 girls in our year.

Are you an engineer? There is only one female engineer I know, and although good looking, she bats for the other team. Poor blokes.

Actually engineers are quite good looking as a group.
Sorry about the typos Steve, dear, but I've been slaving over my stats project all day and really can't be bothered anymore. :p:
