Sleep

I've found it really difficult to be motivated this year. Usually i study lots and work really hard, but this year i feel i am going to fail all my exams because ive done nearly no work at all!
I find it really difficult to study in the evenings because i am constantly falling asleep! I don't even realise and then suddenly wake up 3 hours later. Last night i was very tired because i had had to get up at 5am, so i went to bed at 10pm which was very very early for me and got up at 8am. This is 10hours sleep, which is much more than i need! Yet this evening i sat down to try to study around 7pm and woke up at 11! I don't understand how my body could have needed this sleep as i should not have been tired following last night.
Recently ive been on holiday and sometimes ive found myself getting up at around 9am and falling asleep again within a few hours. I should be completly motivated and ready to go at this time in the morning but i can fall asleep again.
Is this problem just because i am allowing myself to become lazy??? Or could there be something more??
Any advice please

i am exactly the same as you. i used to study alot and i was hardworking in year 10 and 11. however this year, i am in year 12 now; i am not motivated at all. i really want to study, but i keep falling sleep.
but i think u can try and go to library or in a park where there's fresh air. also try to study somewhere cold. this works for me because when i am cold i don't feel sleepy.

As long as it is indeed just laziness and not something more serious, then going to the library or anywhere outside the house to study is a good idea. I found that when I am at home, I can often find myself getting distracted and drifting off into a daydream. If you are in a public place like a library, you will naturally be more alert and probably get more done.
