Fainting...

I just fainted. No idea why. Anyone shed some light? I don't usually faint :-\

Could be for virtually any reason.. did you feel light headed/dizzy etc beforehand? Low blood sugar, certain drugs, lack of sleep can all induce it?

I just went down to the laundry, had a sudden urge to be sick, so ran back into my building, went all light headed in the lift then got to my room and passed out.

Maybe you've got a bug...I wouldn't worry too much. If it happens frequently then you might want to get it checked out.

did you stand up really quickly? fainting is usually due to blood being temporarily cut off from the brain. if you had been sitting down for ages the blood could have pooled in your leg veins then when you stand up, there is a quick pressure change that leads to fainting..

My apologies if that came across as an implication you take illicit drugs.. I meant things like paracetemol etc inducing an abnormal reaction, or even being spiked (Totally not fun).

I always seem to be having blood tests! And that's a sure fire way to make me faint again!

Eat something sweet and lie with your legs raised for a while. I faint sometimes when i stand too quickly, or when i see blood.
