There's a few factors, illness perhaps, any medication you're taking, if you're female it could be water retention, or maybe you've just been pigging out.

I've been eating normally, I just havent been out for about 2 weeks, because i've been ill, which is weird, because I tend to lose weight when im ill

Well if you've been cooped up inside it's probably lack of excercise that's made it build up. Don't worry about it, it'll melt off if you get back to your usual routine.

Am i the only one that thinks perhaps the OP needs a new pair of scales?

OP- I think i would double check using another set of scales because i think 5kg in one week is a hell of a lot especially if you haven't been well because presumable this will have affected your diet and made you weaker.

I wish i could put on 5kg in a week though  2 weeks and i'd have a metamorph physique

My weight fluctuates alot and im always up and down, where you wearing the same clothes when you weighed yourself? At the same time of day etc? There may be a few possibilities as to why you weighed more.

Just watch your weight and see if it carries on to go up, see the doctor if you eating habits are normal.

I've just gained about 5 kg in one week! How is that possible?! And if you can gain weight that easily and quickly, can it be lost that easily/quickly?

Have you been eating a lot of spuds?
