National Express Graduate Assessment Centre

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone else has ever attended a graduate assessment centre or interview for National Express? (Coach company.)

I have been invited to an 'Express Yourself' assessment centre day next Thursday in Birmingham.

I have done plenty of research etc but it is my first ever assessment centre so i'm a little apprehensive.

Any tips / advice on what to expect?

Last time I used a national express a coach driver and an inspector ended up fighting in the middle of London Victoria coach station. Initially the inspector had the upper hand thanks to superior weaponry (clipboard), however the tables turned when the coach driver emerged with a 6 foot long wooden bag pole out of the coach hold. I kid you not, this happened. I was a witness to the subsequent police investigation.

I'm not sure how this helps, perhaps bring a gun? :dontknow:

Haha that is quality. Luckily it's in Birmingham so possibly not as hostile? :smile:

Dudley coach station in Birmingham was my destination, was doing the trip to uni :tongue:

Perhaps as it's Birmingham a blade will do.

Expect competency questions. Go through some generic lists of key competencies on google (leadership, teamwork, communication etc) and try to come up with a few examples of each. They'll likely put the competency into a convoluted scenario in the interview, so having a couple to draw on for each would be good.
