Switching Colleges mid-year?

I have a postgraduate friend who lives at a college too far away from where his classes are and wants to change accomodation to a closer college. Would he be allowed to transfer during, say, around the Christmas holiday? If so, what is the process like and how much would it cost to switch?

I don't believe there is any such existing process; if this is possible, he'd have to speak to the Senior Tutor at his college (and possibly at the other college too) to sort it out.

Unless there is some exceptional circumstance not mentioned, I highly doubt this is possible - having already signed a license agreement for his current accommodation, I think it'd be legally awkward, and the administration would be a right bother for staff.

Could I ask where he's currently living, where his classes are, and where he's considering moving to?

I know that somebody in my college switched but they did at the end of the fourth week I think

I think you could probably do it so long as the college you want to move to has spaces, youll probably have to pay for both though as your original college probably wont be able to fill the room you were in now.
