Do your friends ever REALLY piss you off?

Argh I'm so annoyed. One of my (best) mates has hardly spoken to me all holidays, and she just rang me for the first time in ages...to ask to borrow my favourite pair of jeans. I feel a bit used and pissed off for some reason. Anyway, I don't want her borrowing them, partly because she wants to take them on holiday with her and I don't trust her not to stain them or something - they're French Connection and were really expensive. Anyone got a good excuse?

Yes, tell her the truth.

Or say you had some really traumatic experience, and she wasn't there for you, so she doesn't deserve to borrow them.

Or say that you're going out/lending them out already.

I'd just say sorry mate I love those jeans and I'm sure I'll want to wear them whilst you're away. Surely she can't get pissed off with you as she's asking for a favour?

Somebody's stolen them from your washing line.

Hmmm... just don't let her borrow them. If she hasn't spoken to you for ages, she really has no right to just call you up and ask for your stuff. Don't make an excuse - just tell her straight out how you feel. If she's any decent friend, she'll see what she's done wrong, and change.

Just say you need them. Simple as.

Yeah if you haven't seen her for ages, I think I'd find a way to say no, as you might not get them back for a loooong time!

Wow she must really feel comfy to call and ask to borrow your fave jeans and actually whisk them away on holiday with her.
I found that really rude.. and to be honest I think you should tell her the truth. Nothing is ever cleared up if you sit there and clam up or make an excuse cause she'll just do it again..

i agree with hapa_girl. its rude! tell her outright that you don't want to lend your favorite jeans. don't invent reasons, rather tell her the truth.

Would hardly call her a friend! Just be like No, you use me, bye! lol

Some of my friends annoy me but then i probably annoy them 10 times more. I love them all the same. Im sure if you say no she isn't going to kill you.
