Can I just point out that being a virgin at 18 isn't THAT big of a deal... I don't think it really matters at all.

Possibly, it would depend on how mature she is - 18 is at the very bottom age I would date, and generally I would only date someone 18/19 if they were mature for their age / etc. (I am 22).

P.s. The whole virgin thing doesn't affect me either way, I would date a 22 year virgin if I liked her.

Am I right in thinking that if you go with a virgin you'll sort of be like her jedi master, so you'd be teaching her everything? There's potential for crafting her into the perfect GF without douche bags forcing her to behave in silly ways?

Oh, for the love of God, yes. Why does this make a difference? I'm nineteen and quite frankly I couldn't - and wouldn't - care whatsoever. It couldn't be more of a non-issue.

Speaking as a twenty-five-year-old non-virgin I'd be astonished to find a girl seven years my junior mature or emotionally-stable enough to consider forming a relationship with, let alone one who'd never had sex, so it certainly wouldn't be the deciding factor for me either way.

I get why you'd think it may be a problem, but any guy who thinks it is is quite immature if you ask me...I'm 19 and a virgin and when I tell people the only reaction is curiousity nothing negative?

While I personally don't have an issue with someone being a virgin, then I don't think it is immature to not want to date a virgin - some people prefer people to have a certain level of sexual experience; how does that make them any more immature to people who prefer someone to be shaved or have bigger breasts?

I'm with rmhumphries insofar that people shouldn't be considered immature for wanting to avoid virgins (although, I would have an issue with it -19 y/o male); lets face it, some people filter potential partners by much more stupid criteria.

Ultimately, isn't it all about love? If you're dating someone and feeling that connection then you shouldn't care either way

I worded it wrong my bad :/ Obviously guys have the right to not want to date a virgin, i meant if someone had basically made her feel that the reason she wasn't good enough was due to that if you get what I am trying to say? Like being a virgin is a bad thing
