i think u have to apply to each individual university seperately. its best you go onto the individual university's website and look for the application process information.

heres a list of the universities

The ETH in Zurich is among the best unis in the world rankings...and Zurich is one of the nicest cities in the german part of switzerland...*bias alert*

What subject would you like to study Valery?

If it's Science-based: Then definately, ETH Zurich or EPFL Lausanne.
If it's Medecine: Then CMU, Geneva is a very good and well reputated school.
Social Sciences: HEC Lausanne and University of St. Gallen.
Finally, Arts: University of Fribourg and University of Geneva

To your question, each university has a seperate application procedure; however if you apply for medecine, you have to apply centrally - it's a bit like UCAS. The entry requirements for many of the Swiss universities are the same. e.g. 3 Cs at A2 (one of the them has to be either a science or mathematics.)

St Gallen is in the german speaking part of switzerland, next to the bodensee, next to germany, austria and switzerland (i believe)

Suggestion: don't go for geneva university, you'll have LOTS of trouble finding a decent place to live. Geneva's accommodation sector is saturated! It's very tough to find housing, especially as a student. Lausanne is ok though.

Again: isn't there a tsr for switzerland? It would be damn useful.
10x for the tippo pravin, though I hate Geneva since I was 12

I don't think there's a TSR for switzerland, and I could only find one swiss student forum www.uniboard.ch
but it's in german and i don't know about the quality of it because you have to register.
