Go to 'Stat' - Option 2 on the menu. Enter the values in. Make sure each row has both values filled, if not delete that row. Now press CALC (F2) then REG (F3) and finally X (F1). That should work - it does on the fx-7400G.
i've got a fx-83wag. i dont know how to put the two values in for x and y. i can use it to work out mean and standard deviation but that only has one set of values.
Put it into Linear regression mode by the way Vazzy described, and then write an x value, press the comma button and then the y value, then enter it in as data. You can then get to the PMCC.
This might be an amateur move, but I can get into the x y fields to fill in the data, but after that, I am stuck. I can't find CALC so I can't get the result of the equation. Could someone help out with button references on the casio calculators?
I know this is a little bit of a bump, but its the same question i would be asking anyways, so saves making another thread,
Right now i'm looking at a table with X and Y values and its asking me to find the PMCC, and its 9 Marks,
I can do it on my calculator easy, but will i still get full marks?
Exam boards are beginning to realise the potential of calculators. On a recent core 3 paper, the mark scheme clearly stated for some question that "No working scores no marks" despite a right answer.
