French summer courses at the Sorbonne

Just wondering if anyone's done one of the French summer courses that the Sorbonne do every year?? I'm thinking of doing the six week 'E3 Langue et Civilisation' one - I think it looks great! I've just got back from Mexico where I went to two language schools which I arranged through Apple Languages which were absolutely fantastic, but I'm kind of thinking that I want to go to a more 'real' institution, plus the Sorbonne looks great on a CV! Living in Paris would be sooo cool. Any feedback or experience would be great!
Yup I did this last summer and this summer - the long one, june til september. The course is good cause it's very intensive, though it's really grammar based & not so great for actually communicating. Paris is such a fun place to be, loads of cool people .

Yay, someone finally replied! I think it looks really cool, but the only downside is that they don't seem to help you very much/at all with finding accommodation. Where did you stay? Cheers!

Hey,

I have friends who have done this course and I went to a lecture (snuck in) and it was of a very high standard. Paris is the best place to live I have been working as a stagiare there on my gap year for 4 months. I will be back in the Summer again. When are you thinking of going?

I ca give you lots of advice abou accommodation as have been through it all myself and know the ropes. Drop a reply and Ill write it all out, but let me know if you are interested cos there is a lot to know!! Sorry Im in a rush now which is why i am sounding lazy!

Btw I have a friend in first yr at Emma college!

Best wishes

Naomi

Try the Alliance Francaise, I did a course there a few years ago at the end of my year abroad. It was really good and it's right near Montparnasse in Paris. They also help you with accommodation although I already had somewhere to live.
