The colleague questionnaire was 2 days for me, but it all depends.
I mainly joined to reply to a couple of these threads which really helped with an interview I had yesterday at Boots, not sure I've got the job yet, but the threads on here really helped, so replying with this on a few of them! Thanks very much.
Seems you helped me, I thought it would be only fair for me to comment with my experience in return for anyone that is viewing this and is yet to have their interview.
I went into the Boots branch about 5 minutes early, and was looking for a member of staff to ask where I should go with the tills so busy. I went for someone stocking shelves, and funnily enough it was the exact person I had my interview with. She told me to go to the back of the store and wait for five minutes whilst she finished that job. After less than five minutes she came over and took me through to the back. She was really nice, and we just sat in her office for 5 minutes talking about Boots, she photocopied my passport etc. and printed the relevant documents.
At this point there was a knock on the door, and it was lucky I'd turned up early, as head office had double booked the slot, with another girl having to wait of rearrange- I'm not sure which it was. Then we began. There were no questions, which surprised me, and she took me out on to the shop floor. She took me to the shampoo isle, and gave a scenario which I'd seen on here beforehand, with a teenager looking at conditioners confused. She asked what I'd say, how I'd want her to feel etc. and then we moved on. Next she asked what product I had chosen from the email I was sent (she didn't seem to have much knowledge of the application process herself having only joined 6 weeks earlier) and I went towards it, Ted Baker Shower Gel. She asked why it appealed to me and asked me to sell it to her personally, which I felt I did well on. Next I was taken to a deliberately untidy isle and asked how I'd change it in 15 minutes, and then what I'd do if I had a couple of hours. Finally, we walked around the store and I had to point out customers that looked confident, and those who didn't, and explain why. To build on this I had to approach customers and ask if they needed any help - they all said no!
That was pretty much all of the interview, at least what I can remember, until she said this was the end of the assessment and took me through to the office, where I assumed questions would be asked, but none were! This was a shock, but I was simply told about how Boots works, the pay rate, training etc. and told she'll get back to me with an email if I'm unsuccessful or an initial phone call if I'm successful by the end of next week. The lack of questions was worrying, but I didn't feel the interview went too badly. We'll see what happens!
Hope this helps anyone having their interview soon anyway, but I'm sure they normally include the questions so I'd be prepared for them too. She was a nice lady and it was an informal interview which I enjoyed. I would love a job there (although I've applied for a temporary Christmas position) as it seems a nice place to work!
