I don't really see the point. A lot of the later versions of MSN, yahoo have closed the holes that allowed the block checker to work in the first place. Surely you'd notice if someone was blocking you for a long period of time anyway

When I sign on msn it sends all my online contacts that I advise them to download blockcheker. My sister must have downloaded it or something, any ideas how I can stop it sending messages cos having to explain that its not me telling them is getting boring?!

It's a Trojan, designed to sting credulous fools.

I don't know about the downloadable version of block checker, but I know the online one will only work on people have the box "only people on my allow list can see my status and send me messages" unticked. Otherwise they will always be shown as offline regardless of whether or not they are online.

And since that box is ticked by default, it means the online block checkers are useless. Don't bother with any of them - they're all out to screw you. However, if you download Mercury Messenger, then that has a feature that tells you if somebody has removed you from their contact list - the next best thing to a block checker.

Or you can just click "See who has added you to their contact list" under MSN options.
