shouldn't his dr be doing this? if he's not taking it for a medical reason, take him to the dr so they can plan his withdrawal?? sorry got no idea other than it's usually given for sleep problems....

Drug abuse should be treated by a doctor. How did he get it in the first place? It is usually given to elderly people who can't sleep.
