It depends what kind of milk you're drinking. Full cream milk has a lot of fat in it - whereas if you go for semi-skimmed or skimmed, the fat content is less. I'm sure there are other things too - but thats the 1st one that springs to mind!

Of course it is. If it's possible to kill yourself by drinking too much water then it's possible to kill yourself with almost anything, or at least make you rather ill. I know of a few people who can drink maybe a glass or two of milk but if they drink any more it can cause migraines.

I drink loads of milk as well and suffer from all manner of ailments. I'm trying cutting down at the moment so hopefully in a few weeks I might be able to provide a better answer. :p:

I drink semi-skimmed milk...

Like I already mentioned, this is just purely because I'm interested to whether you could have too much, not because I think I'm having too much.

How about too little milk? Most of the people here at uni don't drink any at all, apart from in tea and the like... I suppose the problem with this one would be not enough calcium if they have no other sources of calcium.

I suppose thats true... never though of that... but then I guess you would have to have tons of the stuff... more than a few glasses...

If you have too much water it affects the osmosis in the body... I wonder what milk would affect...

Doesn't eating too many dairy products create mucus in the throat? :p: A problem I've suffered from a few times.

When i was trying to put on weight last year i drank loads of milk (like 2-3 pints a day.)

It didnt really have any bad side-effects on me, so i wouldnt worry about it

I think at worse you might get slighty diorahoea (i have absolutely no idea how to spell that sorry  )

Well I imagine milk is at least 90% water so it would do the same stuff as water I imagine.

If you consume too much calcium (thats >4g roughly) then it can knack your kidneys up but to get this much from milk alone you'd probably drown first XP

about 2-3 glasses full fat a day.

p.s how old should you be before you can have tea once a day? know a 11 year old who drinks it that why...

2-3 glasses?!?! that's nonsense, there's not much calcium in milk, what is present is measured in mg!

How much milk do you need to grow though, being only 5'4 and 16 I feel I should drink more than the one cup a day I have been having for the last year

Milk is saturated fat, I think :hmmmm: also I’m pretty certain it produces a lot of mucus.
