I'm working on a presentation about this poem and to be honest, I'm very stuck. I understand that it's a warning about the consequences of our usage of the world and what not, but apart from that, I'm clueless.

The main points I have made are about the speaker's mix of anger and bitterness in the tone and I've also got some points about the language and the speaker's insensitivity.

I had a few other ideas but these were blown out of the water when I realised

A) Lancashire does actually produce wine :confused:

B) Dolphins have been found off the Lancashire coast :confused:

(I find this baffling!)

Is there anyone who can possibly point me in the right direction of things I should be looking at? Or maybe suggest some websites etc? I'd really appreciate it.
