do you eat until you're full, or until you've finished what you've got?
do you cook your own meals?

Reply 2

yes i always eat as much as i can. (Sometimes I dont have breakfast mind.) I cook for myself a few times a week usually.

I think its genetic, watever that means?

Reply 5

Someone needs to make a sticky on this sort of stuff, it's always getting asked.

eat a big breakfast.

Put on muscle....

The only way your going to put on weight is by eating more calories then you burn. Try maybe 6 meals a day, looking for around 3000-3500 calories a day. Make sure what you eat is clean, low fat food so that fat gain is reduced in your bulk.
If your aiming to put on muscle with this weight gain, get yourself a pair of dumbells or go down to the gym, while also trying to eat 1 -1.5grams of protein per every pound you weigh.

Hope theres something in there that helps, but if you want to gain weight cleanly its a lifestyle change, and you'll have to increase what you consume.

:ditto: Try eating about 5 meals a day

I'll count my calories and protein this week (if i remember)

To be honest i think i would find it really hard to eat 5-6 meals a day. I mean theres only so much you can eat before you just feel sick. Guess its not gonna be easy lol

I've decided Im gonna give this whole fitness/diet stuff a go this summer holiday (after the exams are over.[oh god thats gonna be great isnt it?])

Thanks to everyone for the advice so far, keep it coming. I'll tell you how i get along

5-6 meals will just speed your metabolism, so pretty much counterproductive.

People have said not eating breakfast doesn't 'start up' your metabolism in the morning, so you can put on weight this way.

Whats your general days eating?? Could you post it menu stylee??

I'd suggest something like build up, but it wouldnt be cheap long term.

So your suggesting to gain weight he skips meals, thus reducing his food intake?
The reason fat people are fat is because they eat more (although the fat comes from the ****e they eat). The reason built people are built is because they eat lots, eat well, and work out + though genetics also plays a part.

Good luck mate.

As an alternative suggestion:

Perhaps if you bathe in lard, you'll absorb it through your skin!!

It's apparently very soothing (historical evidence!)

Reply 14

Eat more, exercise less = lard arse

Just what you want

bathe in lard

...nice suggestion

My uncle was dangerously underweight. They bathed him in lard... he went down hill really quickly after that

When the guy said 5-6 meals, its 5-6 small meals. A small meal could just be some fruit, obviously not 3 courses or anything.

Also, make sure you drink plenty of water. And get plenty of sleep too.

Wouldnt this be good advice for weight loss?

He wants those meals medium size if he generally wants to pack on some weight.
