Collingwood secong year accommodation

I'm in first year at Collingwood College, and it seems everyone is planning on living out in the second year, but do any second years actually stay in the college?
Although I presume there wouldn't be many rooms left for second years since all the other years get priority, how likely is it that I could get one?

'Fraid I don't know anything specifically about Collingwood, but in Trevs it's not unheard of for a small number of second years to live in college. I think it tends to be one of those things that just depends on how many finalists want to come back.

Have you spoken to your college's Senior Tutor?

Hey, i'm a second year at collingwood - I was allowed to move back into college half way through this term (its complicated ) they had very limited numbers of rooms left and dont normally allow second years to move in (unless they are international students or have a health problem). Is there any reason why you dont want to live out next year? I think if you're sure you want to live in next year it would be worth talking to one of the vice principles at college to see what your options are. I think the forms for returning students to live in go out sometime in december...

Thanks for the replies, I haven't spoken to anyone, but then, I don't have a special reason to get college accommodation so I don't know if that would help. I put my name down on the next year accommodation list on duo, but it says in the handbook it will be February before they publish the list, that would be a bit late to look for a house and housemates if I wasn't successful.

This year they accommodated all of the second years who wanted to live in.

Really? Do you know this because you were one of them?! Well thank-you very much for this information.

Some people asked why I want to live-in. Basically, I don't want the hassle of finding housemates, and then finding a house, and I like the meals in college as well...and living in a house would be more stressful I presume (I'm easily stressed).

No, I'm living out but I was on the list. You'd be better off mailing the accommodation guy than taking my word for it.

Kevin Miller sent out two emails regarding living-in next year. They must be somewhere there in your DUO mail.
